Karen Hughes at the Texas State Bar Convention

I'm here at the State Bar Convention. I've talked to some really interesting lawyers. I've swapped war stories and traded cards.

But, by far, the most interesting person I've met is Karen Hughes. For those who don't know her, she served as Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs from 2005-2007 and was Counselor to President Bush his first 18 months in the White House.

She spoke about professional women, and how challenging it can be to balance family and career. She spoke about America, and how our country is perceived by other nations. She spoke about technology, and how it has changed the landscape of the world forever.

At Media Masters we know how important it is to keep a pulse on not only what's happening in the "communication" world, but also on the "political" world. That's what sets us apart.
