Houston, we are still in business. Despite Hurricane Ike devastating our city and surrounding areas, Media Masters is still up and running. No power? No problem. Office flooded? No problem. Nobody can make it to a company meeting? No problem. That's just some of the benefits of running a completely virtual company.
So, how did we do it? The company founder, Miranda Sevcik, was smart enough to know that the future of businesses is viral.
While we do have a location where we can meet with clients, for the most part we meet clients at their offices. Other than that, we are operational wherever there is power and a wifi connection. The office calendar, company documents, CRM, and database is all online. In fact, we can even run our business using a blackberry, which is what I've been doing lately.
