Anyone notice the fact that the Houston Chronicle is shrinking? A big part of the reason is lack of advertisers but another huge contributor? A Lack of news. Chances are you know at least one person on vacation or having just returned from one. Thats true across the board in the media world too. Unfortunately for media types the show must go on and reporters and assignments editors are scrambling for stories.
Spend a few moments each morning looking at your cases, reading the paper or watching your favorite news program. Try and determine where you can offer expert commentary on national news, legal trends and local developments. The Texas legislature is going into special session - are there any hot button issues you can comment on? Call a reporter and reap the rewards!
