Tiger Woods and His PR Counsel Part Ways

The Orlando Sentinel writes about the fallout from Tiger continuing not to listen to his PR counsel. Take note attorneys! PR folks are here to help you get what you need not what you want.

Another one of
Tiger Woods' professional relationships has dissolved.

Former White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer ended his working relationship with Tiger Woods just 11 days after it was announced he would help plot the golfer's anticipated return according to the Associated Press.

The subject of Ari Fleischer's quick departure from the Tiger Woods camp was not brought up in either of ESPN's or the Golf Channel's five minute interviews Sunday at Tiger Woods' Isleworth mansion, likely due to time constraints.

"[Fleischer] feels like he's becoming too big a part of the story," Kelly Tilghman said after her interview with Tiger Woods on the Golf Channel. "He felt like that it was time for Tiger to have complete due and his name doesn't need to keep coming up."

Ari Fleischer, who previously advised former President George W. Bush, also worked to rehab Mark McGwire's image shattered by the steroids scandal and with the Green Bay Packers' quarterback controversy surrounding Brett Favre.

No reasons were cited for the split between Woods and Fleischer, according to the Associated Press.
